Jane Austen

Jane Austen (1775–1817) was an English novelist known for her keen social observations and sharp wit. She wrote six major novels that critique and comment on the English landed gentry of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Her works have become timeless classics and have inspired numerous adaptations in film and television.
