Frances Hodgson Burnett

Frances Hodgson Burnett (1849–1924) was a British-American novelist and playwright best known for her children's novels. She wrote over 50 works including popular classics such as Little Lord Fauntleroy, A Little Princess, and The Secret Garden. Burnett's writing career began early to support her family financially, and she became one of America's highest-paid women writers of her time.
