Tara Westover

Tara Westover is an American memoirist, essayist, and historian born in 1986 in rural Idaho. She grew up in a survivalist Mormon family opposed to public education and never attended school until she was 17. She later earned a PhD in intellectual history from the University of Cambridge. Her acclaimed memoir Educated recounts her journey from isolation to academic achievement and has been widely praised and translated into many languages.
