L.M. Montgomery

Lucy Maud Montgomery (1874–1942) was a Canadian author best known for her novel Anne of Green Gables (1908) and its sequels. She published 20 novels, over 500 short stories, 500 poems, and 30 essays. Montgomery's works often drew on her own experiences and the rural life of Prince Edward Island. She was recognized as one of the most influential Canadian writers of the twentieth century.
