John Muir

John Muir (1838–1914) was a Scottish-born American naturalist, author, and early advocate for wilderness preservation in the United States. He co-founded the Sierra Club and was instrumental in the establishment of several national parks. Muir is often called the 'Father of the National Parks' and is renowned for his passionate writings on nature and conservation.
