J. S. Fletcher

Joseph Smith Fletcher (1863–1935) was an English journalist and prolific author who wrote over 230 books, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and detective novels. He is best known for his contributions to detective fiction during the early 20th century, particularly for his novel The Middle Temple Murder (1919), which introduced one of the first newspaperman-sleuth characters and gained acclaim in both the UK and the US.
