Anatole France

Anatole France, born Jacques Anatole François Thibault (1844–1924), was a French poet, journalist, and novelist known for his ironic and skeptical style. He was considered the ideal French man of letters in his time and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1921. His works often combined elegant prose with biting satire and profound human sympathy.
